Ok, so i want to squeeze a little extra compression from the vitaras im putting in. I was told to go with a y8 HG, but i already purchased the z6. Im, using brand new ARP's, so the heads not going anywhere so:
1. Ive heard of it, but can i dissasemble the 3 layers
2. CAN i use just 1 of the layers, or do i HAVE to use at least 2

 

you can either get the y8 gasket and only use 2 layers instead of 3, or you can get your head milled just a tad.

 

well, im not going to go buy another one when i have one sitting here, im just trying to find out about modifying it. Ive heard people taking the 3 layer apart, and getting rid of the middle layer. Now, how do i take the rivets outs, and since im using ARP studs, can i use just 1 of the layers safely to squeeze out a little more compression?
