redlining is sometimes helpful i've seen people shift at the redline point for more pick up but i also seen peolpe shift way before the redline. it all depends what you have in your car and how your tranny is setup and your is set up. but yeh that shift device isnt to bad i would get it for help

my civic dident come with a autometer tack with a shift light, i used to shift at every time it lit up but it just got annoying after a bit because if u want to go further it just stays lit (at night its bright even with the light cover), so now i just set it to where i dont want to go over, because sometimes you just love the sound and feel of acceleration you get carried away ,you guys no what im talking about..
