so the fun continues! ex-Si or SiR
so ive decided where i wanna go n what to do with my civvy. its a 2000 civic ex 5 speed and after getting very jelious at a local meet up with the Si guys. WHY CANT I HAVE A HUUUGE WING AND LAMBO DOORS AND A 3INCH EXHAUST! (jk) so ive decided to shut every civic guys face up before i build my lexus. thaaaaaaats rite its tiiime for a civic project! WOOHOO!
when i first got my car i thought it would be cool to put a bunch of oe jdm si parts on it like a spoiler, front bumper lip, painted side skirts so on and so on. getting to the point, my motors about halfway through its life (165K) especially the way i drive lol, so ive decided to start savin for a swap. i was thinkin the b16 from an si of similar year but the more i think about it, why go through all the hastle just for double overheads and lil more power? especially becuase this will be an all motor project. ive also heard the b16 isnt exactly a torque demon, like me!! so im up for new opinions. i love the k20s (especially out of the tsx from a couple years back), i think the k24 is awesome, i like the b18 type r integra motor and ive even heard of a b20?? basicly i wanna hear some opinions for each motor? ill prolly order a short block and assemble it from there.
OH PS ive heard certain heads will fit on other motors such as the b16 heads on the b18 block? whats up with the frankenstein engines? smaller combustion chamber makes more compression?? so yea anyone who feels inclined please leave me a comment!

B20 is the 2001 (maybe 2000) and older CRV motors. They are basically a b18, but with thinner sleeves, and obviously a little more displacement.
About the frankenstein motors, yes it can be done. Do a lot of research on how to build one. Yes, smaller combustion chambers raise compression.
You could do a B16 head or a b18c head on a b18b, or a b20. You can also put a k20 head on a k24.
