spark plug wire question

I've never found I had to change stock spark plug wires in any cars that I have owned. I also read an article awhile back on a spark plug wire comparison and the result was that no wires provided better engine performance, but no wires provided worse performance.

Have any of you noticed a difference with aftermarket plug wires in maybe fuel economy? I am thinking of getting MSD with 8.5 mm silicone. There's a couple different insulation diameters out there by Accel, MSD, Nology, Neuspeed and NGK. Anyone have any recommendations? I am not interested in dressing-up the engine bay with colored wires. Thanks.

i have ngks and they work just fine even with boost, but i would find the cheapest ones to oem or just get some oem ones if you arnt planning on dressing up the engine bay

RE: spark plug wire question

Spark plug wires or an MSD box won't gain you anything. As a matter of fact, on a few race cars I worked with, an MSD box actually cost the car HP.
