Stage 2 or 3
 

Hey all, Ifinally settled on a N/A build for my H22A4 with a low mileage H22A head. My question is the price of Skunk2 pro series stage 2 and 3 camsare the same, should I just go for the stage 3 or stick with 2? Assuming that I am already doing the valvetrain, cam gears, IM and TB, etc. Would it be harder to tune the stage 3's? Also factor in that this car is a street car that isn't driven extremely often.

Stage 2. Stage three is less streetable.

will a stage 2 cam make my VTEC crossover sound better? The H series sound just isn't as in you face as the B series is. Are there any other ways to make it more noticable?

Do some head work. Cams, springs, valves, and retainers.

Yeah I am planning on doing all of that. What can be used to tune that? I have a B+M adustable fuel pressure regulator but what else would you recommend.

I would return that. For best results youre going to need a pro tune. Are you doing the install? If so, tow the car to a tuner and have them chip your ECU, then theyll do what they do best and you will see the best possible gains, at a safe level.

Yea. anything above stage 1 range is going to be a big pain in the ass street wise. Like, I had some crazy drag clutch from ACT. It was a son of a bitch to drive... ask forty04... he will tell you it suxors. But now I have a Center Force and I love it!

Ok heres another question for you experts...I am either going to buy a Euro Type R intake manifold or have my stock manifold PNP'd both will have a 68mm. I don't know how much the PNP job would be but the Type R one is $230, with money and performance in mind, which is better?

The type R one is you best bet because the integrity of it hasnt been compromised by thinning out the walls
