Stage 2 cam/springs on y8...

I have a y8 with 74k miles on it. I've got a nice CAI, HP Racing header, custom 2.25" exhaust. Im getting a stage 2 Comp cam with springs in a week or 2...how much of a gain could I be looking at? I don't know to much about head work. Would I be able to hang with stock b16's with that cam and the i/h/e? maybe a Skunk 2 IM too. All opinions/info are greatly appreciatted...

take the head to a shop get it worked then put those cams and springs. try to get more work done to the head before putting it back on like retainers, rods, cams (which already getting) , springs (those too lol), etc. then put the head back on and try to get a v-tec controller and maybe you'll hang with a b16 or make it harder for the b16 to beat you

Definetily get the Skunk2 IM, and perhaps a bigger TB. You could get some head work done, but honestly I don't think its gonna give you any thing special Also, get a chiped ECU.

if the head comes off, get it milled. it will raise compression, and give a nice power jump. but it will also make high octane a necessity. should put you real close to b16 territory.

ok cool I was thinking about that...how far can I have it milled and still keep everything internal stock without any danger? .030"?

yeah, 30 should be good. but youll probably want to get an adjustable cam gear because youll change the angle on it and it will throw your cam timing off a bit, and youll get some nice gains from adjusting it. actually, maybe 20 would be better, to be on the safe side.
