Brock_10 11-09-2009 08:43 PM

Hey!
They have some pretty decent parts at procivic.com

I put in a 95 lx in the search, and it looks like they have GReddy camshafts that fit.!

630 bucks though. =(

This IS a civic forum...why would we laugh??? I happen to think that's one of the best Civic body styles yet.

blueciv95 11-09-2009 09:13 PM

well thank you for the help:). And sorry for the negativity ive faced alot of negativity from people form this car. But yes i think the bodys not bad on it use to have a 09 wrx but  i like this one if I can just make some power out of it

a camshaft isnt going to do much by itself. If your looking for power, f/i is the only cost effective way to make decent power.

blueciv95 11-10-2009 05:15 AM

Oh yeah just a cam would do next to nothing I have an entire build planned over the next year all motor then later on a 100 shot of nos on open throttle and a good tune and controller from cobb

lx's arent bad, i like the body style. what are your plans? do you have any pics?

94civichatchback 11-10-2009 07:25 AM

lets start with a little more info,
how much power you want?
do you wana turbo or all motor?
how much do you wanna spend?
are you going to be doing the work?
auto or manual?

blueciv95 11-11-2009 07:48 PM

OK ill try and do a complete break down. first of all im going the all motor route. I and a few friends will be doing all the work. Im looking for around 200-250 horse without the bottle somewhere around 350-400 with. Im willing to spend around 3g in total. its a manual. If you guys would like I have a good portion of the first stage of the build already picked out I can post up. As of pick I can take some tomorrow. the car physically isn't in the best shape but I work for a auto body shop well mobil auto shop so thats not to much of an issue but yeah if you would like a complete list of the build, well the first stage any ways I can link it up and you guys can critique.

200-250hp? All motor? You have a D15b7 like myself and you simply cannot make that much power with that motor with an N/A build. A nice all motor build on a D16z6 yields somewhere around 150-170hp which starts off with a stock hp of 124 (correct me if i'm wrong, I know its close to that).

94civichatchback 11-11-2009 07:59 PM

there you were corrected lol, 1 hp off

i suggest if you want some power a nice setup is to get a b18 block and put a b16 head on it aka ls vtec. then build the motor up. you will then be close to your goal

blueciv95 11-11-2009 08:07 PM

just rough estimate how much would that be. Sorry kinda new to the honda scene. Ok lets say I went all out on the engine how it is Id only be making 170hp ish?

yea like that, you will also need a few other things to make it fit into your civic, also need a b" series trans. but a great start. i have a some what built b16 and vtec kicks in at 5200 rpms and pulls til it redlines at 9k. where as your d15 motor redlines at like 5500-6k rpms. the b18 block will give ya the torque and the b16 head will give ya the top end. just look around you may find something in craigs list.
