ok...i have a 1998 4dr civic Lx...it has potential already (laugh if you will but it does) ive beat'n rsx's, other 2 door civics, and so on. Well i origianlly was gonna work on it but noone thought i could do it to a 4 door civic. i knew i could but decided to save up for a 02' wrx...well troubles came about so i cant really save THAT much...then i read an article were a fellow worked on his stock engine and got 400 hp out of it...(talk about inspiration). sucks tough cause it didnt talk about what he DID to get there. so im back to my original plan. working on the 4 door civic...im not lettin any of my friends know what im gonna do at all. i wont let them know till im satisfied. and since im new to engine modifications i would gladly appreciate it if you all would help me and give me advice on what i can/ should do. i have stock photos of my car now just not on the computer..but ill get those up and keep updates on my car. btw..i know i want turbo it if that helps you out in advice.

thanks

best advice i can give you for wanting 400hp is to build your bottom end (rods and pistons) then boost it. thats really the only way to get anything more than 200hp out of a D.

btw. it will be hard as ***** to control a 400hp D on the street.

So waht do you have done to have beaten RSX's? Was it more of a better driver situation or what? Civic LX is like 115hp, Rsx is closer to 198hp. um so what do you have done already?
