Stock Stuff

So, I was thinking of finding a new engine with maybe 200 HP, then putting on a turbo. Basically all of my car is stock. Is there anything I will need to replace because of the strain of the all the new horses, or will it be cool? Any info is appreciated, thanks.

a 200hp engine? you'll be hard pressed to find one that is stock. what you should do if you wanna be making those big horses is get an engine (id recommend either the B16A or the B18C1) and do quite a bit of bottom end work. if you wanna up your torque a bit get a stroker kit (basically with a stroker kit, you resleave your engine bigger and it has longer strokes, in effect increacing your displacement and cylinder volume). get low compression pistons with those, and if its an option get racing rods (titanium, if you can afford 'em, if not then get 4340 alloy steel). after that, consider aftermarket valvetrain and cams. Skunk2 seems to be the way to go (for cams id get 265 degrees, .42" lift, 30 degrees overlap). get some head work, then get an intake manifold, intake, exhaust, and only then would I PERSONALLY turbo...you could turbo long before that

of course...this is if you wanna do it all at once...if you wanna do it little by little...start intake and exhaust, then head work, then bottom end. yeah...im done
