I just bought a 04 civic lx and this thing is slow ass hell. i would like to put some kind of upgrade on it real fast cus im sick of soccer moms blowing me away in their mini vans. anyway at the moment i got like $1,000 to burn on some upgrades any suggestions besides nos? thx

a couple bolt-ons won't do you good with what you want, i you want real power with 1,000, then i suggest piecing together a turbo kit, that is if you want to spend the extra cash. but the most effective way of adding real power: swap, turbo, nitrous

uhh.... lol im not sure what you mean by engine code. i just bought this thing like 4 weeks ago. i would just slam a turbo on it or a nos system but i dont really want to go that way. i know you cant do much with 1,000 but thats all i got right knowsince i put 4,000 for the down payment.

well, if you're only willing to get bolt ons, you should be able to find the basic i/h/e for under $1000, but that'll only really improve your throttle response. If you want real power, you almost have to go with a swap or forced induction

ya im kind sticking to bolt ons more or less for right now.... im actually really thinking about ordering the GREDDY SP2CAT BACK EXHAUST and AEM V2 AIR INTAKE tonight, but im not sure what kind of power that will give me and if its worth the price.that will just about burn the 1,000 i have to spend right now too heh

nitrous is really your only cheap alternative to increase hp quickly.

i cant put nos on here cus of " Mr. Warranty " :(atleast if i just stick to the bolt ons it will be easy to switch back to my stock parts before it bring it in to be serviced.

by the way i ordered the Greddy SP2 System and the V2 AIr Intake.. i hope it makes a differance. it should cus when i put a cat back and air intake on my mustang it made a big differance
