Well dont forget the clutch and flywheel, axles might be different. Also the cluthc slave cylinder throwout arm and bearing. Those might come with the tranny though.

read up and make sure ya got all the parts before ya do the swap... and unless the tranny has a garente that it doesnt have any grinds then i would take it to a tranny shop to be inspected and rebuilt as needed... its just extra insurance. 2 main problems with unknown trannys is worn syncros, and the bearings as well. and the clutch should always be replaced with a new setup.
its been talked about ALOT!

it all depends on how much you pay for the tranny! a unknown tranny condition means you can get it dirt cheap.... but could have problems! only good thing about paying more and have it garenteed to work and if it grinds ya can swap it out for another id think.

if you look out on ebay and piece the setup together you could get it cheap.... your best bet is to find a parts car in your area... or a car at a junk yard you can pull all the parts from at once or hell get the whole car....

just keep an eye out for a wrecked car or parts car either local paper or magazine add. or even search ebay.... you never know when you can find a steal!!!!!
i got my wrecked 96dx for only 700bucks. i originaly just bought it for the 5speed parts. but after i got it the damage wasnt as bad as it looked so i just fixed it and rocken it 2 civics is nice.... the 5speed is fun but sometimes ya just want to get in and go. plus my manual doesnt have power JACK...LOL
