my car not turning over first thought it was fuel but its getting in.then i have replace rotor,cap,plugs wire.still not getting sprak.and want to know if there is anyway to test the coil,or ignition module.i checked the fuses also.so any tips would be helpful thanks. its a 98 civic Ex

By not turning over do you mean that when you turn the key it does not do anything or do you mean that it cranks but doesn't start? If it doesn't even crank then check the starter.

no it cranks just not turning over.

You replaced the whole distributor..?? if you did take a spark plug out and then take the spark plug attach it to spark plug wire then ground it set it somewere, where it wont catch gasoline or something that will get set on fire and start it check for a spark if no spark then distributor is bad

You could have a bad distributor try what i said

yeah i did that with my old one then i went ahead and replace the whole cap rotor and wires

sounds like a fuel problem take fuel line off and crank it see if gas comes out point it away from the engine compartment just squirt little gas make sure the fuel floater isnt broken o.o

Make sure the wires to your ECU are still intact and connected since you were taking the carpet out.

To test for sparks, just pull one of the plug wires off of the cap and hold a grounded screwdriver near it while someone turns the key to crank the engine.

If no sparks, take the cap, rotor and interior divider (under the rotor) off so you can see the coil. Turn the key on and test for 12 volts from the screw terminals of the coil to ground. If you don't have voltage there, there is a problem with the car's wiring. If you do get the voltage it could be a bad distributor. It's hard to tell if the problem is in the module or the coil, many people just swap out the whole distributor complete.
