I am having problems with my time belt on my civic, is there anybody who knows how much it can cost to replace the belt? And to check if that is the problem

well how do you know its the timing belt also how many miles are on it, and its usually around 300 for a shop, now if or when u get it done get the water pump done also.

 

Well, Yesterday i was driving to my super market, and all of a sudden it turned off, i was like going 5 miles an hour, So when i was trying to start it the whole entire like engine would shake. And another problem is , if the ac is not turned on it makes a grinding noise like every 3 seconds... So now its in my drive way dead. I towed it home.
and i have 171k miles on it, And my dad is the one who thinks it was the timing belt
