titanium parts

hey everyone, I was just wondering what kind of performance boost I could expect from installing titanium valves, titanium springs, and titanium retainers. Thanks for all your input and advice!

depends on what you get, it's not made out of titanium for performance increase, it's made of Ti because it strengthens the valvetrain in order to allow for high horsepower applications. the performance gain is determined by the valve spring rate. They're usually not upgraded unless you are A, boosting, or B, installing a more aggresive cam.

I'm installing a stage 3 crane cam, and I'm turboing it eventually

Well then you will want to upgrade springs, retainers, valves

sweet, I actually have titanium springs, valves, and retainers sitting in my trunk right now. along with the new crane cam, and performance clutch, and a new head gasket. I was just asking cuz I was wondering what kind of performance I could expect with the new stage 3 crane cam, and the titanium parts installed.I know it's kind of a vague question, I'm just looking to a pretty general answer, I was told by one of my more mechanically inclined friends that the car would likely do 14s. Oh, and it's a 94 EX coupe, sorry I declined to mention that earlier.

um, that's shooting a little low it all you have is a cam, i hope you have all bolt ons, if not, the cam is useless,

what motor?

RE: titanium parts

also the titanium is lighter...allowing higher rev's (which is also because its strength)

it's a stock 94 ex engine, with a AEM intake, Then I'm installing the titanium parts, a stage 3 cam, a new intake manifold, a new head gasket, and ARP head studs

You may break into the 15's, at best. Do you plan on getting it tuned?
