Turbo Question

Ok I know this might sound stupid but i'm ganna try it first and Id like your opinions.
I've got a 96 EX D16 and i'm ganna drop a turbo in it but i'm not ganna change the ecu yet and i'm not gana touch the fuel pump or injectors. Its just ganna be a turbo, manifold, intercooler, and a downpipe. More than likely its ganna be external wastegate too. Is there anything wrong with this and if so should I stil do it??

RE: Turbo Question

By doing that you would be digging yourself into a money pit.
Don't do it. Read a lot more and do tons of research. Then after you think you know everything you need to know read some more, ask questions etc. Then start your turbo build. Do it right or you will regret it guaranteed.

RE: Turbo Question

dont... lol...try and sell that thing for wiuutever you can. it would be a complete waste of time puting all that on that d16 motor. just buy a new one, put it all on it, then drop it in the car. go with a b16 or something.

putting that stuff on a motor, you'd have to upgrade your fuel system... your also gonna need a new computer/reflash, and a sick tune. you mine as well wait ti ;l you get the new engine with computer then reflash it and tune it right for everything you wanna do to the motor. also change out your fuel system. otherwise everything is pointless.
