i was wondering where i would be able to buy a fully built turbo ready B16A2 motor, if anybody knows of a place please tell me

check out g-sport. its a division of mr gasket. they have a motor based on the dart block that is built for turbo, its called "The Beast." but....$$$$$$$$. any quality built motor will be really expensive.

yeah, you are talking about the beast right, yeah that is a little to pricey for me, i will probably end up buying a B16 and putting the low compression pistons and other stuff needed for a turbo in myself

what are your plans for the car? you wont like a low compression turbo b16 for a street car. a turbo engine is basically an NA motor with a lot of backpressure until the turbo spools, so a "built" motor running an average CR of about 8.5:1 is just that until you hit boost. well the b16 doesnt have any low-end power to begin with, so if you lower the compression, then its gonna be a dog off the line. youd be better off running the stock compression with lower boost (like 4-6 psi) and spend the money you were gonna spend on internals on a really good fuel and ignition system and a stand-alone fuel management system. and some really good tuning. then later on get forged internals with closer to stock compression, like 10.0:1, then youll be able to raise the boost a little and still have good spool-time

Thanks for the advice, i am getting the edelbrock turbo kit since i can get it with a discount so i won't have to pay the 3500 that edelbrock has it priced at, which runs at about 6-7 psi, i may just save the money for the B16 and just put a y8 head on my motor, cause i have a DX with the D16y8, and then just get the kit for that motor, and put forged internals in, since i will have the motor pulled anyways while the car gets painted, and with the money saved from the B16 upgrade my fuel system
