uh oh...new pistons/rods
ok i have a 2000 si. car is in the shop and i got news today that my pistons and rods are done for. a bolt came loose and messed up the pistons. so i am looking at getting the block bored maybe just 1mm over and getting CP 9:1 compression pistons....i am going to turbo the car in about a year or so....so please give me some opinions on what i should do...?

haha yea alot has happened....i paid $1200 to get my head rebuilt, $450 for new rings and stuff 2 weeks after that, and then 100 miles after all that my piston and rod messed up. so i am not paying for factory stuff. its pointless and i still have the manifold and stuff in my room so i am going to turbo it in the future. i cant sell this car. i have wayyyyyy too much money in it!

If he wants to make more HP and plans on boosting then why not and he already plans on buying new pistons anyways.. Buying higher compression pistons is only going to gain him less hp when he boosts.

thats what i thought btw do you know who makes the best pistons i have the p30 for my b16a i want better i want a comp. of at least 8:1 for the fact that im upgrading my supercharger...p.s. i have skunk 2 cam gears so im sticking with all skunk 2 like rods valves...ect. someone please help
