Default V-tec Controller worth the trouble

i have an 02 civic ex and my birthday is comin up and my family is broke, i was gonna ask for one of the buddy club V-tec controllers but i would like to know if it is worth it and all the trouble that might come with it and or if a vtec controller really even does anything.

No it is not worth the trouble. Honda set the Vtec at the best possible adjustment you can do. Any other setting would lower the life of your motor. Be fair warned.

there are some times that it's okay to screw with vtec, or soI've heard. But with a lightly to moderately modified car, you dont' even want to think about screwig with vtec (I believe the two times that changing thevtec engagement is acceptable iswith anaggressive cam or a lot of boost).

EDIT: whoops, said "cams" lol... I'm going to guess that this guy doesn't have an engine swap
