Valve Cover Gasket

Appears to be leaking. When I change it do I have to change the sparkplug seals too?

if those seals aren't leaking already(look around the spark plugs tube/plugs for oil) then you shouldn't have to. it wouldn't hurt to do them tho. they can be a little tricky to get off the valve cover since the seal is basically small thin spring and its wrapped in a hard rubber. since it's been in there for a while it'll probably stick or break apart when you try to remove them.

dito. i wouldnt worry about the seals as long as they look ok. puting the new ones in is easy but getting them out is a big PITA!
just a bit of advice when changing the VC gasket get a dab of sealer for those tight corners around the cam shaft areas.... thats the typical leaking area. i used some HONDA BOND that i also got from the dealership when i replaced my old gasket.

I checked the sparkplugs today and it appears that the 2nd sparkplug is blacker than the others. It looks like dry carbon kind of, the other ones are more on the white side. Could this have anything to do with the 2nd sparkplug seal? My engine only has 1000k on it since it was rebuilt with the **** in my sig, what else could it be? I gapped the plugs myself, is it possible that even tho i used the feeler gauge and checked the gaps, maybe it is gapped a little smaller it can't be a very big difference tho.
