Vibration at 1/4 throttle
 

I have just noticed a vibration/rattling sound around 1/4 throttle in all gears...i've tried searching for this and cannot figure out where this sound is coming from. It sounds like it's from the back part of the engine bay. It is strange.

Any ideas? It only occurs at 1/4 throttle. If I floor it, no sound, if I let the car decelerate all the way down, no sound either. It's just while i'm depressing the throttle at 1/4

i've got a 2000 civic D16y8 engine.

please advise.

Could be any number of things. I would put it on a lift and have someone in the car while you check for loose heat shield and other possible parts.

BTW how do you like your Eibach kit?

yeah...it could be a heat shield issue...i'll have to put it up on a lift next time i'm at my buddy's shop...the Eibach kit has been awesome. I put Tokico HP Blues in for the struts and it compliments the Ebiach springs very nicely. Enjoy it a lot!

So it's not heat shields as I don't have any on my car as I took them off with the new exhaust...could the valves need to be reset?
