Vtec?

Sorry I'm new here but how do u know if ur civic has vtec? Mine is a 2000 ex coupe and it doesnt say vtec on the engine(d16y8) does that mean my car doesnt have vtec? I can feel the pull when it reachs 4500 rpm though.

All civics that are ex,si, and I believe the lx have vtec. The head which is a Y8 are vtec'd

lx's don't have vtec, but hx's and vp's have vtec-e

No, VP's dont have vtec. Ive got one. VP's are nothing but DX civics.
