vtech and non vtech.

can anyone explain me between the DOCH vtech. and the SOCH vtech. why still SOCH vtech if it only has one cam on the cylinder head?

SOHC VTEC only affects the intake lobes on the cam, because there is only one camshaft and the spark plugs are in the way for any extra parts that the exhaust side VTEC would require.

DOHC VTEC affects both the intake and exhaust lobes, because there are 2 cams
