I have a 96 honda civic with a autoD16Y7 motor. I wanted to know if i could make itv-tech by getting a D15B SOHC head. Will it directly fit with out machine work? Also whatelse would Ihave to do besides get a V-tech wiring harness and switch out the mass airflow sensor?Oh and one more thing, woulda D15B 5 speed tranny directly fit?

 

doing a trans swap semms like it wont be that hard but do some research you need pedals ecu new shifter transmission fly wheel and some other stuff use the search feature and i think there are a few trans swap threads about the head it can be done but there are aslo some other things needed besides just the head again use the search it has almost every question answered good luck

 

You also need to change the ECU to go from non-VTEC to VTEC. So you should do the trans swap at the same time.
