Weird Noise

Yeah i got a 98 ex coupe its making a noise almost like a belt squeaking right near the driver side of the motor i only hear it when its at idel and when i let off the gas. I recently got my heat fixed in the car it hasnt been used for about 7 months but i dont think thats what it is. This is not a picture of my motor just somthing i found on google but i have circled where the noise is coming from. Oh and its not the lifters cause i can hear them to lol!

RE: Weird Noise

No i was going to wait till i hit 150k and get every thing done but i guess its time already. To me im thinking its the AC or steering. AC because this is what i have to do for air and heat i have to get out raise the hood and manually switch the thing from hot and cold water so i can have either acorheat. Or could be the steering belt because a motorcycle hit me last week on the driver side and now its pulling a bit. So i will get these checked thanks

Also one more thing im looking to do a mini-me i dont understand what all i need i did a search on the forums but mostly came up with "This motor is better,No this motor is" so if someone could link me to a real post about it thanks!

ok pop ur hood when it maken the noise and u should be able to tell which it is, my cart did it with the alternatorbelt, and i fixed it by losenin my alt and then taking a bar to pry the belt tight and then while in this position tightening it again, hope this helps, and o ye belt dressing might help too
