What Engine do I have?
 

Hi, i've recently bought a 1997 Honda Civic Ex 2dr. Coupe Automatic, and was wondering what is my specific engine? What model VTEC do I have also? I'm a complete car noob so bare with me.

well do a search but this will be your freebie most of the info can be found i a search but you should have a D16Y8 Sohc vtec pretty much the sohc vtec engien that 96 on up will have

You can also look down and left of the exhaust manifold by the bell housing. It will have the engine type stamped.
