what motor
just wondering i cant find it and i have really looked over the internet for 3 hrs. And im looking at getting a 2001 honda civic lx 2 door and its got a blown motor just want to know what my options are. If it would be cheaper for a swap to a k24 or rebuild im soley looking to flip the car.
so what motor comes with the car stock.
I have read that b motors i need a whole sub frame from a different honda to use it on the 2001
and will a k24 just drop in. and will the stock tranny hook up to the k24.
If the motors truly blown ill see if it is its a 16 year old kid selling it and i might just be a distrubtor or something smaller. However im looking worst case what would most people think it would be? spun bearing? rods weak? or just rings?
never owned a honda so i understand this is noob questions. Also i assume the motor is 1.7a4 like the other ex in the same year just havent seen the lx motor.

The only "drop in" engines for the 2001-2005 Civics are D17 engines and K series engines. You have to use the D17 transmissions for the D17 engines and a K series transmission for a K engine. The K swap isn't simple, but the engine mounts line up more easily than another swap.
