what motor swap should i do?
hey i just bought a 94 hb cx . i hear i could get a jdm VC and run turbo on stock internals and it would be reliable. im trying to get my bang for the buck. so please post ideas. thank you
ZC. but i think the ZC is a pain for the 5th gen civics. look into a SOHC vtec d16z6 or, for a little more money, a b series swap. you should find a Z6 for under a grand, even as low as like 4-500 bucks, and for a B-series swap, expect to pay a minium of about 2k for the swap, all the way up to about 5-6k. but coming up from a cx motor, even the Z6 will be a huge improvement.
B16A package swap into a 00 civic, ex.

actually try to look around for a d16y8 motor off a 98 civic ex if not go for the d16z6 those motors are 1.6 liters that come v-tec. or you can do a mini me swap. try to get a si motor or a d16a6 motor and put a v-tec head on it. you can go for the z6 head or the y8 head. of course you'll get more compression with the y8 head but you wanna go turbo so try the z6 head. i know a guy that has a d16a6 motor with a z6 head and turbo and he can pull a porche like nothing and he only runs about 6 psi.
