ok so what im trying to find out is are all 1.6 sohc vtec motors the same, not necessarily performance wise as much as bolt in place and use the same accessories??? is the manual transmission and automatic the same motor? i know that sounds stupid but i was looking at a sit and it said manual transmission only so i was curios about it?? could a 6th digit 6 or 7 bolt in place of my motor and what would be the difference? thanks for any replies!

no theyre not all the same. they vary from generation to generation...and sometimes even within generations. there are two different kinds of d16a1's (but one is commonly referred to as just the d16a)
