what parts do i need to upgrade my B16a valvetrain; retainers, valve springs.... anything else?

 

well, valves are pretty important, too

 

What do you plan on doing to the engine?

 

valves, springs and retainers, valve job, port polish etc

 

my engine has done about 125000 miles, still in good shape. Id like to put some Skunk2 Stage 1 cams in there for a little power boost. Id get theskunk2cam gears aswell so i could set up the engine properly. The UK spec B16a2 is 160bhp standard, so id like to take it to approaching200bhp with the stage 1 cams and full breathing work

 

with stage 1 cams and a port wont get you near 200whp

 

i would do, high comp pistons, valvetrain, stage 2 cams, cam gears, intake, intake manifold, header, 2.25 exhaust and 200whp is achievable

 

i was talking 200bhp, not 200whp, 200bhpis more like 170whp. I cant afford to go crazy here, i just wanted a cheap power increase with the addition of stage 1 cams and breathing work

 

how much are you looking to spend on your head to make it breath so you can get the power you want?

 

im looking to get new manifolds and full intake and exhaust work. This would be combined with the new cams, thats it really, not too £$£$£much at all
