I know that the one that has the gauge on it is a fuel filter but what's the purpose of the gauge?

The first one looks like an FMU (Fuel management unit). I have no idea how it works. The second, as you have said, is your fuel filter with a fuel psi gauge on it. I have never seen the gauge next to the filter. Normally, I have seen it placed on the fuel rail.

1. okay then, so with me taking out the turbo setup, I would have to remove the FMU then? And I can leave the Fuel pressure Gauge or does that have to come out too?

2.Next thing.....if I am running the stock injectors, the fuel pump should also still be stock, right?

3.With taking out the turbo setup; if there is a performance fuel pump installed, how would that affect the performance of the car? Would to much fuel be fed to the car even though the stock injectors are in?

I have a fuel pressure gauge there too. Its just a diagnostic tool really. I also have a Walbro 255 pump with stock injectors. It was just to replace the stock one that went bad, but that was one more thing needed to be turbo ready, so there it is, car runs fine with it.

Well, I start surgery on my car tomorrow soooooo hopefully I will have things sorted out next week sometime.
The guy who's supposed to weld the bracket mount on is off on weekends so I will just take out the turbo setup and put on the headers and see if I can get the A/C setup and running.
I'll keep you guys up to date.

Does the FMU need to be removed.
I see lines running to the blowoff and turbo as well as a line running to the inside of the car to the boost gauge so I am assuming that I just need to disconnect these and run the right hose to the right spot.

okay...so i disconnected the turbo setup.
There was a hose running from the intake manifold to the fmu.
Once the Hose has been removed from the fmu where do I run it.
From the intake manifold to where?

That sounds like a vacuum line. Is there a T fitting on it that goes to the IM and FPR? If so you need to take the fitting out and run a straight line from the IM to the FPR.
