WHAT IS V-TEC E ? ? ? ? ?

Ok, I met this chick who drives a 93 hb civc vx, and I thought only si and ex civics had vtec. I popped her hood and the valve cover read V-TEC E? It also had a V-TEC selinoid. What the heck is V-TEC E? It also had a ridiculously small throttle body, which makes me this it's an hf motor. . .

it is a real gas saver vtec that just uses the vtec to swirl the air and get an almost perfect combustion. It is deff not performance oreinted. It is an awesome awesome gas saver though.

(I Found this)

VTEC-E is a twist on the regular VTEC mechanism. Whereas VTEC's purpose can be more or less summarized as: extracting high RPM performance while maintaining smooth low RPM operation, VTEC-E can be summarized as: allow extremely lean fuel-air mixture at low RPMs in order to increase fuel economy. In other words, VTEC technology is used to optimize different ends of the RPM range in the two different implementations.
