RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
a b16a is the best value. its an easy swap. and has a ton of potential. how much do you have to spend?
|
RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
yes. b16 is good choice. www.hmotorsonline.com
sirII full swap is 2200 plus shipping allow yourself maybe an extra 1000 on top of that to do flywheel, clutch, water pump, timing belt, cams and get yourself on the road |
RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
i'm just getting info, i don't have money allocated yet. i need to take care of body work and replace drivers seat first.

RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
what is a full swap, does that mean everything is included. why would i need extra for pump, cam etc... this isn't part of the swap. thanks

RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
the water pump and clutch and stuff are just planning ahead. if you have the motor sitting on the floor, its a 45 minute job to install a new flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, water pump, timing belt, and tensioner pulley. if its in the car, its more like 12 hours at best.

RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
gotcha, thanks. does it make sense to buy and engine and store it away, until you get everything you want and then install, or are there rubber or other parts that'll suffer from sitting?
|
RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
where are you located? I have 94 SirII B16A that is just sitting on an engine stand.
|
RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
i'm in new york, but i don't have the cash yet, i'm just doing info gathering at the moment. but thanks very tempting.
btw- as i asked above is it safe to store an engine or will it need to be torn down if sitting too long, thanks |
RE: what's the best swap for a 92 civic HB
