would turbo cause hot spot?

hi guys, would a turbo sat on a manifold that enables you to keep ac and power steering (tight in there)make alot of heat and soak into the block causing ring/piston failure?. tryin to narrow down why i have failure in second cylinder. shall i just bin the ac?

also if i build the block will i need to retune if the compression ratio is lower and would i need more boost to achieve my previous power?

wats compression ratio pistons for 350 horse on the b16 and wat sort of psi is that 50 ar 60 T3T4,

i have also heard about vitaras pistons, some of the d16 guys swear by them but can you get these for the b series?

Cheers guys

more than likely your tune is what failed or wasnt up to par, try upgrading your radiator to an aluminum one and a FAL slim fan, should cool the car down quiet a bit.

Even if the blocks were identical i would still retune because every motor is different.

You can only run the vitaras in the d16's, no b16's. SRP pistons are nicely priced if your on a budget

the car did get really hot the last time idrove it, before i found the fault, i normally let the oil run through the turbo like you should but i paniced and turned it off because it was getin dangerously hot and water was comin out of the pressure cap and filling the reservoir!!. would this of cracked my rings in cylinder 2or somethin due to the heat change?
cheers

its hard to say, have you torn down everything on the motor and inspected everything?

You didn't pull off the head yet did you.

Sounds like you blew your headgasket.

ok so head gasket is a possibility, but white smoke puffs outta the rocker cover! the way im thinkin is that its blow by goin down into the crankcase and escapin through the oil galleries or could it still happen with the head gasket gone?

cheers fo the help!
