OK im looking for a d16z6 for my 95 dx cuz it broke. the d16z6 is a 1.6L with 125hp and 106lb-ft torque. but this engine im looking at here http://www.teknotik.com./product_sec...disp.php?id=56 had the exact same specs but says its a 1.5 liter that went into the JDM Civic si. My question is, is this the same engine as the d16z6, will it fit in my car, is 1200$ a reasonable price for the entier package wiht the engine, tranny, ecu and distributor, and what the difference is between the JDM si and i guess the american ones?

 

Yes 1200 is a pretty good deal with all of that.

Jdm means Japan domestic market so its the same engine as the american one but just has some Japanese brand mods on it.

no its not the same engine. the D15B has a higher CR and more power for it. less torque because of less displacement, but more hp.

it will fit. but there are better options for your car...but its the best for the money

 

wiht the d15b engine, which engine specific parts would i have to buy. Like if i wanted a CAI which one would i get out of the list

 

they usually specify what to get depending on your model

but all D series parts are interchangable.
