z6 head on y8 block
Hey guys, I forgot to ask, the motor that I just built consists of a z6 vtec head on a y8 block, is this going to change compression compared to just a full y8 motor??? Also what kind of sensor problems will this cause (if any). I am going to be running a p28 ecu. Thanks in advance.

RE: z6 head on y8 block
Im pretty sure it wont change the CR by much. If it were me though, id throw a thicker metal headgasket on there to lower it a bit more (thats if ur goin to boost her)

RE: z6 head on y8 block
Stock Y8 is 9.6:1. Stock Y8 with a Z6 head will drop to about 9.3:1. Swap out for Z6 pistons and you're down to about 8.65:1.

RE: z6 head on y8 block
I have Wiseco forged 8:6:1's already installed, was just wondering if it would really be 8:6:1 with the different head/block combo.
