Z6 or Y8??

which head should i go with for my d15b7 engine in my 94 civic? and reasons for which one you would choose? i'm hearing the z6 gets better flow so now i may go with the z6 but give me all your thoughts on this subject. thanks.

RE: Z6 or Y8??

Y8 will make compression higher, and makes the most power, but z6 would be a pretty simple bolt-on for your car. and the power isnt that much different, but enough that it might be worth it.[&:] sorry thats not very definite.

either way you needs a few different things. z6 head requires either hacking the b7 distributor, or swapping for a z6 distributor(different mounting flanges). y8 allows you to use your current distributor but requires y8 headbolts.

either way i go, i'm going to put a different distributor in. a new one may be msd or something. so then for the most power the y8 huh? thanks

well if its true for ....n/a=y8 and boost=z6 and i'm going n/a i think that answers it. and i found a good deal on a complete y8 head for 200 on craigslist. <-----love that site. the guy said he also has a honda metal head gasket for it too. is it worth getting the dealer metal gasket for it too?
