ZC vs B-18

Default ZC vs B-18

k guys I'm new to this whole thing. whats the difference between these two engines? i hear ZC's arnt good?

its going into a civic. i dunno just any random ZC and random B-18...i just want to know the difference. sorry newbie here.

whic year civic. I mean if its an EF a DOHC ZC might be your engine of choice, if it's an EG or EK a B18C1 would probably be your engine of choice. BTW there's quite many variations of engines in each family...there's the SOHC VTEC ZC which is equivalent of a d16z6 and there's the DOHC non vtec ZC which really has no other equivalent...nay be a d16a9 if I'm not mistaking. The B18B is the non-vtec LS motor, than there's the b18c1 from an integra GSr, than there's the B18C5 from a teggie type R....just to name a few.

well....random ZC is not a good answer, there are considerable differences between some of them. Now, if you mean the DOHC non-VTEC ZC, and a B18B-its the same, now, the before mentioned ZC and a B18C, totally different, go with the B18C, or maybe a C5 if your feeling really like a man
