2001 civic LX swap
Ok.. heres the thing. i dont kno jack **** about civic engines and b17's and b16's. im more of a muscle car man myself (350, 454, etc). I wonna do a swap on my 2001 honda civic LX. Its not even a V-tec so i gotta fix that. i want a very powerful motor so what do you guys suggest? i would like for everything to line up and me not have to get a new tranny.. i can tear a motor down and put one back in. i just dont kno about civic motors.. any help on short descriptions of the types of motors would be AWESOME. thanks in advance!

I would say swap in a k20, but you'd have to swap in a tranny as well. You could buy a d17a2 (same engine you have, but has v-tec) and build it up, but you wont see nearly the gains of a k20 swap.

im lookin for major gains.. gettin tired of gettin beat street racin hehe. a new tranny.. hmm.. price range of a new tranny?
EDIT: aight after lookin for a little bit i found out B(whatever) wont work for my car. i found a K20A engine with a manual tranny.. that work?
