91 honda civic fuel filter replacement questions
Just purchased this car, and have the Haynes Manual on order, so until then, i need some help with replacing the fuel filter.
I have never seen a set up quite like this, with the makeup of the filter itself.
Could someone quide me through the process of removing the fuel filter from the car?. I just would like to know what bolts/nuts have to be removed, and if anyone has any tips or tricks that will help me complete this task, without doing any damage to my car. Thank you!!.
BTW, the car is a 91 civic Lx, in case i didn't mention that.

Its nothing too hard to do.
Basically the most important thing to do is make sure the system is de-pressurized before starting otherwise you will run into problems. Also good to keep some rags handy because some gas will leak out.
Here is a pretty decent DIY

Still can't get the fuel filter out? what the F?!!!
that banjo bolt is not the same as mine. On the 91 civic there is a fixed nut attached to that banjo bolt. That is where my problem is. What needs to get loose, the banjo bolt, or the fixed nut on top of it?. I tried a 17 and a 19 mm open faced on the banjo bolt, and they both will not fit correctly. Is it possible a standard size like 3/4 or is it 20 mm?. I have neither of those 2 sizes in my tool collection, of course!.
I don't understand why Honda makes the simplest things very difficult to remove.
So if anyone has a 1991 HONDA CIVIC LX, and they have ever changed the fuel filter, could you take a minute and give me a step by step removal process?, and exactly what size wrenches i will need to get this effin thing out!!
