i found an item on ebay, if you go on and type item #250998932642. this pops into your intake hose, or pipe, and is supposed to increase power and save gas. has anyone tried this? and does it really make improvements? thanks

 

It does not work. If anything, it will restrict your intake.

Oddly enough, years ago when I was writing for an online automotive site, we asked the Tornado people if, since it seemed like such a great thing, they'd supply us with one for testing and an article. They refused, and it sent up a big, red flag that has since been confirmed by a number of sources.
