You need 4 spark plugs if you are trying to replace them all

Had the time to go and change my spark plugs, except one thing. There is this rubber sealing and a metal ring kinda of blocking a socket to fit in there. Is there a special tool i need to get this out?

I have no clue what you are talking about. The spark wire must be pulled out of course.

Yes i pull out the spark wire, but when i put in the spark plug socket to remove it, there is a rubber ring preventing me, but i can see the spark plug inside. i push down and the rubber resists. i haven't seen this noted on any other civic sites. i'm not sure if i should remove it and hope it doesn't cause a problem or not.

i figured it out and it is called a "boot".
-A boot is a rubber covering for the connection between each spark plug terminal.

Use a 5/8 inch spark plug socket. Some sockets are too big a diameter on the outside to fit into the hole through the valve cover, in that case try a different brand of socket. The rubber ring near the top is the seal that keeps oil from the cam area from getting into the spark plug tube.

This is assuming the wire or coil is all the way out. If part broke off inside like others are saying, you need to extricate the broken part with long pliers or something.
