i drove to dallas from KC, and on the way down, set the cruise at 67 mph, and got 36.2 mpg. i then jumped it up to 84 (in a 75 mph) and got 28.3. honestly, i'll take the hit in gas mileage for the less time it will take (even if it is more fill ups)

My GTO gets right around 27 mph at 95 mph (driving through *mexico*)

I've got a 97 DX hatch, MT, no AC or power steering, 115000 miles

I get 38 or 39 pretty much anywhere, city or highway

It dropped to 30 for a bit when the muffler started spitting out bits and pieces

Was about 28. Then I replaced the ignition coil and muffler. That jumped the last tank up over 31 (repairs were conducted with 1/4 tank left). The true average is probably higher. I just refilled it, so we'll see!

I average right around 35 mpg with about 60% highway and 40% city driving. I get 30-31 if i beat the hell out of it and all highway the best i've gotten is 41.8 mpg. If i took the subs out of the back which weigh a ton i'd probably get better yet....

2004 Honda Civic EX 140K

I have been averaging 35/36 during spring & fall without heat and AC running at speeds upwards of 75-80 hwy (35 miles hwy and 15 miles town/city).

During summers & winters with heat and AC I get 30-33 mpg under the same conditions above for 50 miles of driving.

1993 Honda civic Lx 1.6L
~210k miles on trans and 130k on the engine.
average 28-30 city and about 40 highway going an average speed of 70 MPH (on the highway of course) Ive found that keeping your rpms under 3k tends help me a lot in achieving the 40+ mpg i get on long highway drives.
