RE: 17's
this is all preference related, just like buying clothes, some people buy from american eagle, others buy from the gap. but as a reference,
18's- pretty rough
17's- rough
16's- fine
15's- comfortable
14's- no sidewall stiffness
13's- very comfortable

RE: 17's
knowing how it would ride is nice, but i was more conscerned with tire rub. the car is stock height right now, would tire rub be a factor? right now there are no inner fender wells in it, but i plan on putting some in soon.

RE: 17's
We also need to know if you plan on lowering the car at all and how much.
For example, I have 16's and I rub slightly because the car is lowered quite a bit.
Now, if you were to leave the stock suspension on 13-16 would not rub, where 17 could rub and 18 will rub.
Then again, it's more determined by the tires you choose to mount on the wheels.
So answer these questions:
What's more important to you:
Smooth Ride or Blingin' Ride
Rubbing, some Rubbing, no Rubbing
Better Acceleration or Worse Acceleration
Better Braking or Worse Braking

RE: 17's
If you get low profile tire you will be fine with 17s and 18s
I just got my 17s put in today (changed from stock) with low profile tires and there is plenty of space from tire to fender. I could even lower it a coupple inches and it would be fine.

RE: 17's
Civicnoob, let me know when you hit your first good bump, you'll for sure rub, and I don't care how low profile your tire is. It's basically required to have low pros on anything bigger than 15's. 16's you can get away without them, but not it you are lowed low. Again, running with stock suspension, you can get 17's on there. You'll look like a baby monster truck, but they'll fit.
