Does anyone know how much horsepower a stock 1997 civic ex has?

 

I think it has 126HP.

 

the engine is rated at 127 horsepower, and the only dyno test of a stock 97 civic i've seen yielded 108 wheel horsepower. it was in a SS or SCC or something, an article about d16y8 turbos...

So I gotta ask, with all these gung-ho civic owners, who's pushing the fastest civic? If the stock 98 EX is 127hp, I'd imagine i'm pushin mid 140's w/ intake/hdr/exhst. Nothing fancy thats for sure, so lets hear it, anyone runnin 11's on the quarter?

Well according to our "timeslips" section-

"blacllkllsi" has the fastest Civic with an ET of 13.700 @ 108 MPH.

But I have a feeling there is someone on here that is faster than that.

 

Hey its good to be back. I ran that time on stock street tires. I know I can get it lower. And there are definately people on here that are faster. And for the guy who was wondering if I was running guardian or k-pro before my thread was closed, I am running guardian and I am untuned. I am running stock eveything else. I Have alot more goodies to install when I get back from Iraq including k-pro. Thanks Street Sniper.....
