2000 honda civic to drive over 1000 miles

Hello, I plan to drive my 2000 Honda civic to NY which is 1300 miles away. current mileage is 160000 miles, and it's a manual car.
Should I go? should I check anything before I go? (my car runs really good)
and any advices for the long run guys?
Thanks.

do a complete tune up on your motor before u go so u won't have to worry bout that part. check the tread life on your tires and pressure... everything else is based on how much you trust on how it runs. i got a 95 ex w/ 163k and go to houston sometimes

When was the last time you changed and bled your coolant?

Last Oil Change?

New spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor (in the distributor) are all great ideas. (Fairly cheap, too)

Brake Pads and Rotors okay?

As long as all of this stuff is up to par you should be just fine. Carry a little extra cash with you just in case you do need to call a tow truck (probably not needed, but better to be safe than sorry)

I have an 01 Civic with 141k on it and I drive it 1,100 miles a week.
It's only left me on the road once due to a bad cam sensor.
Other than that it's a road warrior.

Get in ur car and drive man!
