2001 civic aproaching 100k miles maintenance things to do?
My civic is coming closer to 100k miles. What things do you have to do to them at 100k miles? I thought I heard a timing belt and water pump.
How much does the timing belt cost? Do I have to do it right soon after I hit 100k or maybe 105k or?? Thanks |

sooner the better but another 5k miles shouldnt be that bad. new or clean current filter, new fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, distributor cap, rotor..basic tune up. new timing belt wouldnt hurt, always be safer than sorry IMO. water pump i have no idea...most of that u can do urself but the timing belt and water pump u might want to have done at the dealership or someplace..

Waterpump and timing belt are usually done around 105k like mentioned above. That's when mine was put on.

Thanks for the info. I actually just got the car used and got a deal on it($7,800 total with 98000miles) and just wanted to know the steps to taking care of it.
