2005 civic SI HB

hi
im new to honda cars and new to the whole forum thing so bear with me.
i recently bought a 2005 civic SI HB and love it.
just got a few questions im hoping someone can help me with.
I wanna know what is the difference between my 2.0Ltr and the 2.0 ltr engine in my buddys 2008 civic SI??
his revs more and the VTEC kicks in alot harder.
his has a higher HP rating but how was this acheived?
differnt cams?
differnet intake or exhaust??
also, how can i make mine as fast as his?? LOL!!
please help/

basically, everything is different other than the block itself... or maybe the block is even different lol, but i do know that the block is the same as the k20a2

higher hp is done with higher compression, better flowing head, better camshafts, better balanced crankshaft, real vtec etc etc

if you want more power, i'd recommend basic bolt ons, and the vtec killer setup with kpro ===> 190 whp hopefully
