2006 Civic Engine?

I am brand new to this site. I am new owner of a 2006 Honda Civic EX Coupe. It says I have a 1.8l i4 MPI. What does this mean? What type is this? VTEC? No?

all ex/si versions from honda are vtec.

Cool thanks! I just thought it would say something about VTEC on the engine or somewhere under the hood. Cool!

Is there a number associated with this engine? Like the d16y8 I keep reading about?
