2007 4 dr vs 2 dr

I am considering buying a 2007 Civic. I have not driven one yet. I am undecided about sedan or coupe. I like the style of the coupe, but the sedan is a good deal. In terms of performance, is there much difference in the two? I want a stick in either the EX or Si package.

I have a family hauler, so the sedan/coupe decision is solely looks/performance.

Thanks for the info.

I personally like the coupe becuz when I see sedans fixed up (if your looking to... rims exhaust ect.)They just dont lookas goodas coupes cuzcoupesseem sportier even though the two are very similar. It depends onwhat you are lookingto doto it... good luck, mightI recomend the SI. You will haveno regrets there

This is according to an expert review

"In that area, the Si sedan doesn't disappoint. I couldn't really tell a difference between the capabilities of the Si sedan versus the coupe. I just couldn't. The only thing that adds to the coupe's sportiness is the body style itself, and the resulting cockpit feel.

For those not familiar with the 197-horsepower four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission in both Si models, it's a high-revving affair. This is Honda's performance trademark. When you slam on the gas the tachometer flies to an 8,000-rpm redline — that's high — and it doesn't feel like it will stop there. The engine noise is decidedly different to anyone used to gruntier muscle cars or the low torque that Volkswagen aims for in its GLI."

I was in the same situation. coupe or sedan? Driving wize, they are both very similar. I found the interior wasn't as nice in the sedan (the seats in the 2dr had really agressive boulstering where the 4dr's where quite plain) I also liked the 2drs look much much more. Just seemed sportier all around. There were also a few other options that didn't come in the sedan but did with the coupe on the LX package. I'm not sure on the differences with the EX.

For a quick example of room with the coupe: I'm 6ft tall / 180 lbs. With the front seat where i have it diving, i jumped in the back to see how much room there was. My legs had ample space, but was a little short on headroom.

I went with the coupe, and am really happy with my choice. I got the car for me and not the people squished in the back!
