Default 2013 LX Outside temp indicator missing

Does anyone else have a 2013 Civic LX with manual transmission? Mine has no outside temperature indicator. I was at the dealer today and they theorized perhaps the manual transmission version doesn't have it. We did check an Automatic LX and it's there on it but they didn't have another manual transmission to check. According to everything I can find it should have it but I just want to hear from someone with a manual shift that can confirm theirs has the outside temperature indicator.

thanks,
Monte

Default Update

I saw in another forum where a blank outside temperature display was caused by a broken wire to the sensor located behind the front bumper. I can see on mine that there is a wire hanging down with a connector that isn't connected to anything.

Anyone know how to get the plastic piece off either the top or bottom to access the area and plug it back in? Looks like just plastic snap in clips but I don't want to break anything. It would save a 40+ mile round trip drive to the dealer if I could just pop the cover off and plug it back in myself.

thanks,
mk

Hanging wire and connector. And anything else you think may be relevant to the problem.

In order to access the area where the wire is I need to remove either the top plastic cover shown in the attached photo or possibly the one underneath. I assume the plastic clips shown in the photo can be pried out with a screwdriver but I don't want to break anything so I just want to confirm this before attempting it.

Default Confirmed

I still can't access the sensor but I pulled the wire out so I could reach it and connected a 1.9 K ohm resistor across it. The display came on reading 77 deg F and the menu option to adjust it is now available.

So problem solved. I'll probably just take it to the dealer and let them do it, the car is only a couple weeks old and the display has been off since Day 1.
